The Hummus Index is a live measure of Israel's situational stability. It turns a broad and noisy picture into one clear score. Higher scores indicate greater instability.
An AI agent continuously collects information from local and international news, emergency sirens, flight activity, and financial markets. It filters out irrelevant items, checks reports across sources, and scores each development by how much it may stabilize or destabilize the situation. The system then combines the results into the reading on the dial and the short brief above it.
Direct signals such as sirens, widespread flight cancellations, or sharp market moves can set a minimum score regardless of the broader calculation. The baseline also adjusts gradually during long-running events, helping the dial emphasize meaningful changes rather than familiar conditions.
